Measurement of resistance of a regulator

The air diaphragm regulates fuel and air proportions in a mix which are soaked up in the carburettor during start-up of the cold engine, in a phase of heating of the engine and acceleration during driving with the cold engine. The regulator of position of an air diaphragm moves it through system of levers. In essence, it is the small electric motor operated impulses from the equipment of management, providing fast and exact change of position of a diaphragm.

Simultaneously by means of the lever placed on the other hand of an axis of a diaphragm, the section of the jet correcting turns of idling of the engine changes.


1) warm up the engine to temperature 60 With
2) muffle the engine
3) remove the air filter
4) moving a diaphragm, check up, whether there is very big resistance in a place of its packing
5) start the engine and leave it to idle
6) observe of a diaphragm and simultaneously add gas, rotating the lever on approximately 1/3 of turn between position of idling and full opening of a throttle
7) a diaphragm should bend sharply towards position "course is closed", and then return to a starting position.
8) if a diaphragm does not change the position, it is necessary to check up resistance of a regulator of position of a diaphragm
9) disconnect a plug from a regulator of position of a diaphragm
10) an ohmmeter measure resistance between the regulator terminations, its size should equal 0.9–1.7 Ohm
11) measure resistance between each termination and weight, whether there was a short circuit.
12) if a diaphragm regulator normal, it is necessary to check up a throttle potentiometer
13) muffle the engine
14) connect the disunited elements of electroconducting
15) establish the case of the air filter
