THE GENERAL DATA

The mouth of pouring of a liquid for automatic gearbox is in an impellent compartment on an engine left-hand side if to look in a movement direction. Liquid level it is necessary to check often enough, for example, each time at check of level of engine oil or at least through the time intervals defined in "the Management on car service".

Correct level of a liquid is very important for work of an automatic transmission.

For exact measurement of level of a liquid, the car should stand on an equal surface, and the transmission is heated-up to normal working temperature. In normal conditions, after cold start, the transmission will get warm to working temperature after the car has passed about 10 km. If a transmission too cold or hot, measurements of level of a liquid are inexact.

The prevention

Before check of level of a liquid, the gear change lever should be translated in position of parking transfer and the car should be put on a lay brake.

Check of level of a liquid is potentially dangerous, as thus the hot engine should work.

The automatic transmission can be damaged, if the dirt small amount gets to it even. For rubbing probeа use only a fabric which is not leaving fibers.

For exact measurement of level of a liquid, the transmission should be heated-up to working temperature.

Liquid level in norm if it is between marks on probeе. It should not be above or below these marks. If liquid level too high or low, not simply merge or add liquids, address on servicing deport for definition and elimination of a source of malfunction as soon as possible.
